Step-by-Step Dish Alignment Guide
1
Mount the Pole Completely Vertical:
Ensure the wall or ground mount pipe is 90° plumb. If the pole is slanted, the elevation markings on the dish bracket will be inaccurate.
2
Set the Elevation Tilt:
Loosen the elevation side bolts on the dish bracket. Tilt the dish up/down until the bracket pointer aligns with the calculated elevation angle. Tighten lightly.
3
Adjust LNB Skew (Rotation):
Standing facing the front of the dish, rotate the LNB in its clamp to the calculated skew angle. For DD Free Dish (GSAT-15), the connector typically points around 7 to 8 o'clock.
4
Rotate Azimuth (Compass Direction):
Slowly pan the dish left or right towards the calculated azimuth bearing using your compass or satellite DB meter until you hear the signal lock buzzer.
5
Peak the Signal & Tighten Bolts:
Slightly nudge the dish to maximize Signal Quality (QTY 80%+), then lock down all bolts in a cross pattern so the dish doesn't shift during high winds.
