DD Free Dish is India’s free-to-air (FTA) direct-to-home (DTH) satellite television service. It’s operated by Prasar Bharati and provides 100+ TV and radio channels without monthly subscription fees.

🛠️ What You’ll Need

DD Free Dish Set-Top Box (FTA MPEG-2 or MPEG-4)

Ku-band Dish Antenna (60-90 cm is enough)

LNB (Low-Noise Block Downconverter)

Coaxial Cable (RG6)

TV set

Signal meter (optional but useful)

🛠️ Setup Instructions

1. Assemble the Dish
   Mount the dish antenna outdoors with a clear view of the southern sky.

Attach the LNB to the dish’s arm.

2. Connect Cables
   Connect the LNB to the set-top box using RG6 coaxial cable.

Connect the set-top box to your TV via HDMI or AV cables.

3. Point the Dish (Azimuth & Elevation)
   Use a satellite finder app or website (like DishPointer.com) to find the azimuth and elevation for 93.5°E (GSAT-15) based on your location.

Slowly move the dish to lock onto the satellite signal. Use a satellite finder meter or the signal strength bar on the set-top box.

4. Scan for Channels
   Go to your set-top box settings.

Select “Blind Scan” or manually input:

Frequency: 11090 MHz to 11570 MHz

Symbol Rate: 29500 or 30000

Polarization: Vertical

Start scanning and save all channels.
