How to connect Hellobox Smart S2 with Android mobile via DVBPlayer
Hellobox Smart S2 can work with DVBFinder and DVBPlayer Android applications. The initial connection is a bit tricky but still easy. To connect DVBPlayer for Android to Hellobox Smart S2, follow these simple steps below with the help of diagrams and videos.
Step 1: Connect the HelloBox S2 with a power source using the cable that comes with it.
Step 2: Connect the LNB/coaxial/satellite cable to the LNB-IN port on the back of the Hellobox.
Now your box should be flashing red and blue lights.
Step 3: Open your phone and turn on Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (you can also use LAN), and GPS.
Note: To work with Hellobox Smart S2, you need to configure GPS correctly, otherwise the DVB player will show the error “Connected box failed” See the picture below How to set GPS/Location service for Hellobox set to
Step 4: Open the Google Play Store app on your phone and search for “DVBPlayer” Or “DVBFinder” Install and Open the DVD player application. Make sure you grant all the permissions it prompts.
Step 5: DVBPlayer will start searching for the connected Hellobox Smart S2, and wait a few minutes until “Box 1: 76:xxx:755:556” is displayed.
Step 6: If DVBPlayer continues to search without seeing any boxes, click the router/connection icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
Next, a pop-up will appear asking you to enter the Wi-Fi password. please do it accordingly
If you are using the box for the first time, you will also be prompted to update the firmware. Please do the same. You can also do it manually through this app. Although I strongly suggest you do at this point.
You will now be prompted again to search for new channels. Accept this prompt and you will be redirected to DVBPlayer’s “Satellite Installation” page. Here you can safely change some tracking parameters like: DiseqC, scan mode, FTA/CAS mode, etc. Please only change what you are sure of.

Watch the scan progress. Once done, the app will take you to the channels
page and you can select the channels you want to watch. Since I don’t use cccam to decode any channel, I chose the FTA channel in channel mode. My location is 95E and we have free channels like Star Gold Thrills, RT News, KBS World, Sports 18, Sony PAL, etc.
